How do you know if a relationship is worht fighting for...

Sometimes when a relationship has gone sour, our efforts are used trying to repair it, or "get it back", while the best thing to do might be to look at things in a different perspective. Is the relationship worth fighting for or is it truly a lost cause. There are a few things you can think about while trying to sort things through.
Is your partner still in love or still interested in pursuing the relationship. Sometimes when we lose a love we tend to dwell on what used to be, not on what the relationship is currently about. Of course it was good in the beginning, otherwise you wouldn’t have ended up together. If both of you are willing to work on your problems you have a good shot at working things out. If not, you need to ask yourself "Are you in love with the memory of the way things used to be, or are you truly happy at this moment".Staying in a relationship for reasons other than love isn’t good for anyone. Some people, knowingly or unknowingly, stay in a relationship for the wrong reasons, such as having a roof over their heads, their bills are paid, they are afraid of being alone or a variety of other reasons.
Are you willing to stay in a hurtful or abusive relationship until your partner breaks things off? Some people are so afraid of losing someone they will stay as long as possible no matter what the situation, or they simply are not strong enough to break up themselves.

Just remember a couple of things. You deserve to be happy, no one person has the power to make or take your happiness. Only you control your happiness. If you need support seek out friends, family members or a professional. There are also plenty of self-help guides out there to guide you along the way, which ever path you choose.

The Most Impostanf Reason Why You Shoulsd Forgive

Forgiveness appears as though it is an easy thing to do, but it isn’t. Forgiving someone who you believe has wronged you is a very difficult thing to do. Some people live their entire lives unwilling and unable to forgive someone else and carrying this burdens on their shoulder all though their lives. Self help and personal growth can be of great support and help to you.The only person being hurt by your inability to forgive is YOU. In fact, often, the other person doesn’t even realize you have these bad feelings towards them. They may have even forgotten about the incident that lives fresh in your mind every day.
Holding negative feelings against someone and never forgiving them causes you to become negative. This single event leads to a shift in your way of thinking. You might become pessimistic and feel like everyone else is out to get you. You might build a wall so nobody else can get close enough to hurt you again. You should always forgive your neighbour because it is the bes thing to do.The most important reason you should forgive is to allow the healing process to begin. When you are finally able to release what happened in the past and make amends with that person within yourself, you will be able to finally move forward in your own life. You’ll feel as though a huge weight and burden has been lifted from your shoulders.

Some foods from four Japanese prefectures can't enter U.S.

Fresh vegetables are among the foods produced near a Japanese power plant that won't be allowed in the United States.
All milk, milk products, fresh vegetables and fruit from one of four prefectures closest to the quake-stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant will be banned from entering the United States.Food products from other parts of Japan will be tested as resources allow, but the FDA's main focus is food from these four areas, the spokesperson said. The Fukushima Daiichi neclear power plant suffered damage from the eathquake that recently happened in Japan on March 11. Some of the food have already been offically been taken off the market while others are being tested. The FDA will continue to stop all entries from Japan in order to determine where the affected area is coming from. This is a very hard tine for all Japan's residents because they dont know where to turn for food and they food that they have is not healthy. It is also going to affect the United States because they wont be able to trade with Japan until the government fix the problem. Other coutries won't be able to import food to Japan so the survivors that are there will have to find a way to get food. I hope that the problem will be fixed as soon as possible so that everyone will be able to get a meal. I'm just happy that the FDA tested the products before it entered the U.S because it could have positon someone. I will continue to pray for Japan.

Disaster is heavy burden to bear for Japan's elderly

March 17, 2011 11:00 a.m.

Japanese families eat dinner at a shelter on March 16, 2011 in Kesennuma, located in the northeast of Miyagi prefecture.A 70 year old woman was carried away by the tsunami, but managed to survive the disater. Another 83 year old woman escaped the tsunami by jumping on her bicycle and riding to safe ground. These elderly survivors are very grateful that they can still be able to see another day, even if they are not reunited with their family. Many older people have found it hard to cope because they don't have the strerngth to manage on their own, or have the speed to move around. Japan had good preparedness plans that include the elderly but sadly thats still not enough.older people are more exposed to environmental changes, such as changes in temperature and lack of food or water, but only for a short time. For younger people, to live in a shelter for three to four weeks might not be a big deal, but for an older person it's completely different," Harper said. It is very overwelming to see what these eldery people are going through. im just hoping that things gat better and they get the help that they deserve. i think that their should be mor rescue teams out there that are looking for all the elderly that are stuck in their homes and ineed of help. i will continueously pray for them.

how to be a good friend

  • Always listen to your friends.
  • Try new things.
  • Be cool. Be yourself.
  • Always be honest. Never, ever, lie to a friend. It just hurts your relationship.
  • Try to tell as many secrets to her as you can so she will know you trust her, that way she'll learn to trust you. Don't overdo it though.
  • On her birthday, do something that she likes, like doing something fun at night!
  • Let her hang out with other people, try new things. If you don't, she will be very upset with you and probably think you're clingy.
  • Don't talk about her behind her back. If she hears about it, and she probably will, she will feel like she's been stabbed in the back.
  • Try to have a good time with her.
  • Do things that you both like to do.
  • Believe your friend. Always assume good faith.
  • Give them a hug when they need it.
  • Always be there for them through thick and thin.
DONT
  • Don't be clingy and don't be crazy.
  • Don't say anything bad about her so that she won't feel bad or else, she won't consider you a friend.
  • Don't say bad things about her other friends as she might think you say things bad about her behind her back too.
  • Try not to leave other friends out or you might lose them because you are spending all your time with her.
  • Appreciate them even for the smaller things they do as well as for their achievements.
  • Never tell about other girls look nice compare to you.
  • Never ever steal from her or when both of you meet again she won't talk to you and be your friend.

Bullying

Bullying is a form of abuse. It comprises repeated acts over time that involves a real or perceived imbalance of power with the more powerful individual or group abusing those who are less powerful. The power imbalance may be social power and/or physical power. ...
Being bullied can effect someone because they will start to feel insecure and they feel like they have no power. They can no longer defend theirself and it can damage their life.
Children who bully are more likely to engage in other criminal and anti-social behaviors, such as:

  • Fighting
  • Vandalism
  • Truancy
  • Dropping out of school
  • Stealing
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol/and or drug abuse
Obama and Mitchelle did a conference on bullying and Mitchelle Obama wants to stop bullying. She said thay everyone should treat eachother with the respect that they deserve. I agree with that they are saying because they want the students to feel safe and not be threathend to come to school. There should be a penatl for kids who bully, they shoulod respect other people and their belonging.  Bullying is a serious thing because and it can tramatize victimes. the mai reason why Obama wants to speak out is becasue he was bullied when he was younger and he doenst want anyone going throught what he had to expenice. Parents alos play a major role in bullying, they need to teach their children how to interact with other kids. I hope that our president and his first lady can put a stop to these abusive act.

Pete King's hearing on radical Islam

It is clear that the people do not want Pete King to have his hearing on radical Islam. They feel that the "government has no business interfering with any religious group because a handful of adherents have broken the law". King is causing more damage on Muslim peope because feel that he is a threat to them. He is making the assumption that if your a muslim then your a terrorist, which is very wrong. he is not in any positon to tell any if their are terrorist or not. The muslim group have a very strong point about the american people being more of a threat and damaging their own country. King should not persecute anyone because of their religion, it is a free country and people should be able to practice their religion without being badgered. Pete King can be illustrated as inogrant and racist toward the Muslim people. He needs to worry about his own people and stop belittling nations.

My opinion on why Monogamy Matters

In my opinion I think this article is true because I have noticed that a lot of my peers are more anixious to have sex and they want to have more that one boyfriend/girlfriend. The writer stated that" the happiest women were those with a current sexual partner and only one or two partners in their lifetime." I agree with this quote because it is not good to sleep with a lot of people exspecially at a young age. Sometimes people make mistake and fall into the pressure of having sex, but i think its best to wait until you find your spouse to have sex. If you find someone that makes you happy and you want to spend the rest of your life with that persos then their is no need to find pressure in someone else. In today's society it is very hard to find someone who had one or two partners in their lifetime. I think people need more than one partner to gain experience and knowelge on how to look for their soulmate. Our generation today is way diffrent from who it use to be. The husbands wouldnt marry their wives unless they are virgins, but now no one cares about being a virgin. This article has a lot of good points but it doesnt match with our society.

$20 Loan, a Facebook Quarrel and a Fatal Stabbing

The dispute between two friends began over $20, money that had been given to buy baby formula and diapers, but that went for some other purpose. Days later, it became a heated public matter, splayed on the two young women’s facebook pages. At 5:44 p.m. on Sunday, one of them, Kamisha Richards, 22, wrote that this would be “the last time u will con me into giving u money.” Ten minutes later, the other, Kayla Henriques, 18, replied, “Dnt try to expose me mama but I’m not tha type to thug it ova facebook see u wen u get frm wrk.” The war of words escalated over Facebook. In capital letters, at 8:52 p.m., Ms. Richards said that she would have the last laugh. Ms. Henriques replied within seconds: “We will see.”
They exchanged more messages, until about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday. About 24 hours after their last Facebook exchange, Ms. Richards was dead, killed by a kitchen knife to the chest delivered inside an apartment in East New York, Brooklyn — according to the police, the home of Ms. Henriques, Ms. Richards and relatives of both women, including Ms. Henriques’s brother, who was dating Ms. Richards.
By about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Ms. Henriques had been arrested, after witnesses helped point investigators in her direction, and the suspect “said things to implicate herself,” according to a law enforcement official. “It was witnessed by several people, in the apartment,” the official said. Ms. Henriques was charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

New DNA evidence clears man imprisoned 17 years for rape

DNA evidence cleared George Rodriguez of rape after he spent 17 years in prison.  Houston prosecutors will ask a court Thursday to formally exonerate a Texas man after DNA tests ruled out his guilt in a rape for which he served 17 years in prison. George Rodriguez was freed in 2004 after an court appeals found that faulty scientific evidence had been used against him in his 1987 trial. Prosecutors didn't retry him, citing concerns about having the victim who had identified Rodriguez as one of her two attackers in a police lineup-- testify again.
State officials had denied his request for a pardon, but Harris County District Attorney Patricia Lykos agreed to review his case after she took office in 2009.New DNA tests on the forensic evidence in the case came back February 22 and conclusively ruled out if Rodriguez was innocent or not.The Harris County District Attorney's office will ask a judge to formally declare Rodriguez innocent at a Thursday hearing.

Paskistan Minorites Minister Shahbaz Bhatti Shot Dead

The only Christian of the Pakistani Minorities Minister( Shahbaz Bhatt)i was shot dead on Wednesday morning by three gunmen who concealed his car in broad daylight in the capital, Islamabad. He was on his way to work through a residental district when his vehicle was showered with bullets. Mr Bhatii was 42, and a leader of the ruling Pakistan People's Party (PPP). Before the incident occured he had just left his mother's home in the Surburb when about several gunmen border around his vehicle and puntured it with bullets, says witness. The  gunmen pulled the minister's driver  out of the car and started firing. by gunmenAccording the witness, the three gunmen who was wearing shawls excaped the scene in a white Suzuki car. Pamphlets by al-Qaeda and Tehrik-i-Taliban Punjab, a branch of the Taliban in Pakistan's most populous province, were found at the scene. Mr. Bhatti, like Salman Taseer, the governor of Punjab who was gunned down Jan. 4, had campaigned for the reform of Pakistan’s blasphemy law. The law, introduced in the 1970s, calls for the death penalty for those accused of speaking against the Prophet Muhammad. The identity of Mr. Bhatti’s killers is not known but suspicion immediately fell on members of extremist militant groups, but police are still investigating this murder.
The killing of Mr. Bhatti is likely to further expose the depth of religious conservatism among ordinary Pakistanis and in the educated middle class, who at the same time are fed up with the shortcomings of a feeble civilian government unable to deliver basic needs.
After the attack, Mr. Bhatti’s government driver rushed him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
